Detox Diet - What You Can do to Get Rid of
Toxins

Another part of
the detox diet is to adjust your diet and intake of proteins. We
must classify certain proteins as proteins that can be taken in the
detox diet and some that can’t. Some proteins (meats) are
inherently more toxic and dirtier than others. In the detox diet
you should be avoiding all red meats. This includes all beef, duck,
lambs, pork etc as these are considered to be dirtier types of
protein. They contain high amounts of protein but due to farming
practices that are associated with these animals, they may also
contain higher amounts of toxic substances like hormones or disease
control substances. During the detox diet all of these heavier
meats should be avoided. Instead you should be eating meats from
the ocean and only a little bit of poultry. During these two weeks
of a detox diet your should be eating as little meats as you can.
Everyone has their own limit of what is acceptable and you have to
find the balance that is appropriate for you.
Along with a
reduction in the amount of meat that you take in you must also
avoid as much fats and oils as possible. It has long been know that
fats can coagulate in the digestive system over time and form
greasy gunk which is hard for the body to cleanse. By eliminating
them from the diet for a short time you can help your body remove
whatever built-up deposits that might be there without adding to
the mess to clean up. Fat is also very high in calories and will
stop the fat reduction process of the detox diet. This in itself is
already sabotaging part of the slimming diet and thus should not be
consumed during this period. It is understandable that some foods
have fats but you must try to reduce this amount to as little as
possible to get the full benefit of the diet.
Another thing to
try avoid are simple carbohydrates and sugars. Simple carbohydrates
such as rice, pasta and white bread are notorious for combining
with fats and getting clogged in the digestive track. This is also
the main cause for prolonged constipation as the soft and sticky
nature of simple carbohydrates makes it very hard for the digestive
system to move completely. Little bits of the carbohydrates will
always remain and end up rotting in the gut. We recommend that
people on the detox diet eat only complex carbohydrates which are
filled with fibers and roughage so that all food matter is moved
through thoroughly. There is no point in having a detox diet when
you are flushing out the old matter and simple adding more of the
old stuff to clog up your system again.
