Detox Diet - What You Can do to Get Rid of Toxins

Another important practice in a detox and cleansing slimming diet is the consumption of water. It is absolutely vital that you take in enough water during the process of detoxing your body. Water in itself is already a very good detoxing agent but is vital when you are on a detox diet. As you start your cleansing process you will be in a calorie restricted diet too, meaning that you will be eating less calories than normal and your body will subsequently start to use its own reserves or fat and protein to make up the shortfall. The problem is that over the many years of energy deficit allowed to the cleansing processes, your body will actually store the toxins in your body fat for later processing. When you are detoxing, some of the fat will get converted and toxins will again flood your body. You must have enough water in your body so your cleansing organs like your kidneys, liver, spleen etc can function to their best degree in cleaning the extra toxins out of your system.

The Plan
We have taken a look at all the different detox diet plans around and have come up with a system which we think is the most effective at both cleansing the body and also helping you have a healthier life. The problem is that the majority of detox diets are quite extreme and can actually be more dangerous than the toxins that they try to remove from your body. Our goal is to provide a detox and cleansing system which is both effective yet easy to follow and does not risk your own health in the process.

The first thing to be done is to change your extra-curricular activities. The detox diet will last for about 2 weeks, in these two weeks food stuff and beverages that are bad for you should be eliminated. Beverages like coffee, alcohol, protein shakes or any other type of body building supplement should be avoided. Activities like smoking or even going to places that are polluted like clubs or manufacturing plants should also be avoided. This is the first step in giving your body an easier time to eliminate the built-up waste in your body, you must stop introducing toxins for the elimination process to proceed properly. All activities that you know will add pollution or toxins to your body must be stopped for the time being.

In place of all the toxic items that you might be ingesting we recommend that you increase your intake of water to double the amount that you normally would drink a day. Water is a great cleansing liquid on its own and can significantly help the detox process. If you find that drinking plain water all the time is hard then you can alternate between that and freshly squeezed vegetable or fruit juice, preferably organically grown just to ensure that you are not taking in pesticides and fertilizers that might complicate your detox process.
