Toxins

A detox diet will
also call for a very high amount of vegetables and fruits intake,
much more than is required by a normal diet routine. This is
because of the highly beneficial elements in fruits and vegetables.
Each contain a very high amount of vitamins, minerals and
anti-oxidants and are just the right type of foods that people
looking to cleanse their body should be eating. Almost all
vegetables and fruits have high amounts of fiber and roughage which
is great for pushing out as much toxins as possible. Fruits and
vegetables also contain high amounts of water which is again great
for flushing out all the toxins and remaining fecal matter that you
might still have in your gut. On the flip side of this, other food
types like meats and carbohydrates are reduced because they tend to
have an ability to clog up the gut and will also make the process
of detoxing and cleansing much more difficult.
The
Practice of the Detox Diet The first thing to understand about the
detoxing is that the human body is in itself already a very
efficient cleaner of itself. Most of the time the human body can
perform the job of cleaning itself from all the built-up toxins
from our food and environment. This is assuming that our bodies are
in good health and that the toxins that we are introducing to our
bodies can be effectively filtered out without compromising our
health and everyday lives. The problem comes when our bodies can no
longer effectively filter out all the toxins that we take in and we
start getting progressively weaker and sick. A detox and cleansing
slimming diet is meant to turn off the toxin intake for a while and
allow the body to go through its own processes in cleaning
itself.
The main concept
here is about the allocation of energy. Let’s just say your body
has 100% of its power to spare for all its functions. If you have a
diet that is filled with toxins and live in an environment that is
polluted then your body will have to set aside a high percentage of
your daily energy supply (say 30%) towards the cleaning of your
body and elimination of toxins. This then will leave you only 70%
of the energy that you have for moving around, digesting and any
other body processes. If your body needs a minimum of 80% of its
energy for its daily processes and can only allocate 20% of the
extra energy to cleaning then you have a shortfall in the energy in
the cleansing process leaving you unhealthy and full of toxins. The
idea of the detox diet is to allow your body to enough energy
reserves to thoroughly cleanse your body. With your simple diet and
simple activities your body will have access energy which it will
automatically allocate to cleaning up your internal
systems.
Another concept
and practice of a detox diet is the purely mechanical function of
fiber in moving as much dirt and built-up fecal matter from your
gut as possible. This is very important as sometimes the foods that
you eat will get stuck on the get walls and start accumulating over
time. The food inside will end up getting “bad” and end up causing
your body to fight off many bacterial and viral diseases caused by
the fermenting and rotting food inside your gut. Fiber is great
because in any form it is not digestible by our bodies and as such
will be pushed through our gut. Fiber is generally rough and as
such will act as a bristled brush when going through your gut
cleaning away any left-overs and gunk that your body might not have
been able to get rid of by itself.
